About the Role

We are currently seeking five experienced and motivated Assistant Coordinators for our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) services at Curtin, Taylor and Duffy locations on a Fixed Term or Permanant Part-Time basis, who will be responsible for managing the team at the service and ensuring the delivery of quality care, manage the service, and build strong relationships with the children, families, school personnel and colleagues. The Senior Coordinator is responsible for multiple groups of children within the one service.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist the Coordinator in delivering a high-quality, child-safe Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service.

  • Support the implementation of the National Quality Framework and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Mentor and support educators, contributing to a positive team culture and professional development.

  • Foster strong relationships with families, the school, and the local community.

  • Assist with rostering, staff management, and budget monitoring.

  • Contribute to the development and review of the Quality Improvement Plan and Strategic Inclusion Plan.

  • Support the Coordinator in managing daily operations and act as responsible person when required.

  • Promote open communication with families and team members to ensure a collaborative environment.

Job Description

To be successful for this role, you must possess the following:

•    Completed Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care OR Completed 1 year of any degree or Diploma and 1 year experience working with children over preschool age (or ACECQA approved equivalent) OR Working towards a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care / Certificate IV in Out of School Hours Care/ Education Support/ Youth Work/ Lifestyle & Leisure.
•    Extensive skills, knowledge and experience in OSHC, including demonstrated use of the My Time, Our Place framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
•    Sound knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law, Education and Care Services National Regulations. 
•    Ability to contribute to review of Children’s Services policies and procedures.
•    Highly effective interpersonal, leadership and people management skills.
•    High level of communication skills, both verbal and written.
•    Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team.
•    Reliable, punctual and responsible attitude to work.
•    Demonstrated understanding of professional boundaries, privacy and confidentiality.
•    Current first aid certificate in an education and care setting (including asthma and anaphylaxis).
