We are seeking an experienced, passionate and driven Operations Manager to manage the strategic and operational functions of our Early Education portfolio.

We deliver services across the ACT covering children, families, young people and seniors including housing and mental health services.

Job Description

About the Role 

As Operations Manager – Early Education, you will lead and support Centre Directors and Nominated Supervisors to deliver outstanding Early Education and Care. 

You will: 

  • Coach, mentor and train leadership teams 
  • Deliver regular professional development 
  • Drive quality, compliance and financial targets 
  • Ensure each service strives to Exceed the National Quality Standards
  • Support the recruitment of high quality educators and sector leaders
  • Manage contract delivery, budgets and funding streams (CCS, Inclusion ect) 
  • Lead a culture of child safety, compliance and accountability
  • Use data to identify trends and lift performance
  • Partner with the Executive Manager on strategy, risk and growth 
  • And more! 

A hands-on leadership role for a passionate Early Childhood professional who loves building great teams and great outcomes. 

 

About You: 

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education qualified or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (4-Year Degree) qualified or currently actively studying towards (Bachelor). 
  • Demonstrated experience as an Early Childhood Centre Manager, Operations Manager or Area Manager for a minimum of 3 years. 
  • Extensive skills, knowledge and experience in Early Education setting, including demonstrated use of the Early Years Learning framework. 
  • Demonstrated use of the National Quality Frameworks and knowledge of the National Quality Standards. 
  • Ability to contribute to the review of Children’s Services policies and procedures. 
  • Demonstrated high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to people.  
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team. 
  • Reliable, punctual and responsible attitude to work.  
  • A thorough understanding of the importance of personal and professional boundaries, ethical behaviour, policies and procedures. 
  • Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People card.
