We deliver services across the ACT covering children, families, young people and seniors including housing and mental health services.

We are seeking for an experienced Human Resources Advisor who will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and relevant HR advice and support to managers and staff across the organisation.

Our Offer:

  • Permanent full-time appointment.
  • Salary of SCS 5 $99,643.17 - $104,152.19 p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • Salary packaging option up to $15,899 per Fringe Benefits Tax year, with an additional Meals and Entertainment package available up to $2,650 per Fringe Benefits Tax year.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide advice and support on topics such as workers’ compensation, end to end onboarding, recruitment, performance management, the Enterprise Agreement and policies and procedures.
  • Assist the HR team with day-to-day operational support ensuring practices are compliant with relevant legislation.
  • Provide Managers with advice on supporting employees performance, attending meetings as HR support and scribe when required.
  • Provide employees with advice consistent with WCS’ Enterprise Agreement, policies and the Fair Work Act.
  • Liaise with workers compensation insurance companies and rehabilitation providers regarding workers’ compensation cases and appropriate return to work plans.
  • Responsible for processing workers compensation administration and reporting.
  • Provide HR reporting as required.
  • Assist the HR team with complex administrative tasks.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, or progress towards.
  • Demonstrated 2 years minimum experience delivering HR services.
  • Contemporary HR knowledge.
  • Experience in workers compensation reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing HR initiatives, policies, procedures and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing advice to managers in relation to recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and workers’ compensation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

​​​​Knowledge of the ELMO HR system would be highly valued.
